Original FKE exam practice
DELF B1 writing practice: build a clear, supported point of view
Practise planning, writing and checking an organised French response without copying official examination questions.
FKE is independent preparation support, not an official examination resource. It does not reproduce official subjects. Instead, practise the transferable decisions: identify the reader, answer the whole situation, make your position clear, support it with reasons and examples, then reread for clarity.
A practical 45-minute rehearsal
| Time | Decision | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 0–10 min | Understand and plan | Identify the reader, purpose, register and every point to cover. Choose two reasons and one concrete example. |
| 10–40 min | Write | Give the reader a clear opening, develop ideas logically and use linking words only where they show a real relationship. |
| 40–45 min | Check | Check the task points, word count, verb forms, agreement, connectors and a closing that fits the reader. |
This is an FKE practice routine, not an official marking method. France Éducation international also publishes official preparation guidance.

Quick self-check
- Have I answered every requested point rather than only the topic?
- Can a reader find my position in the opening?
- Does each reason have a detail, consequence or example?
- Does my register match the reader?
- Have I reached the official minimum without padding?
